Life is either one great adventure - or nothing at all. Helen Keller

She would know, wouldn't she?

Tomorrow, I embark on my own adventure of sorts. Probably to others, a trip to Berwyn, IL for SHIMMER Women Athletes over the weekend and then to Las Vegas for a week would be nothing to sweat. But this will be the longest trip I've ever taken on my own, away from my home, in the company of friends and boyfriend. Away from my parents (aside from having dinner with them in Vegas next week), away from my home.

It's a bit nerve racking. Mostly little things (getting my luggage at the airport, finding my Brits, having enough clothes and having clothes to fit the different weather, not misplacing anything or forgetting to pack something, not having enough cash), but I also just want everything to go as smoothly as possible. No fights, no friction, no disappointments - I want to really connect with my friends and with Lee. I want to have fun, enjoy new experiences, try new food, and just be open to anything new that comes along. This is my chance to spread my wings.

Because when you fall, you fly. And I want to soar. I want to experience everything possible. I'm so ready for this trip!...Now I've just got to get up the nerve to get on the plane. I hate flying! But for this? It'll be worth it!

My bucket list (Updated 11/5/2012)

I'd never heard of the term "bucket list" until the movie came out with Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman. However, since that time, the idea of making just such a list floated around in my brain, coming to the surface now and again before being submerged by other ideas. With the start (*cough*...) of 2011, and the free time I have at work, the desire to actually create one has been stronger. So with some time on my hands, I'm starting one today. Some of these goals will be specific, some more general than others, but everything on here is something I want to accomplish before I die. God willing and the creek don't rise, I shall accomplish them all. (Even though I'm listing these, they're in no particular order. Just as I think of them.) Those in Italics have been accomplished!

1) Travel. Specifically to the following places (for their historical sites, not for fashion or food):

*Italy

*The United Kingdom (all it's countries, not just England, but England most of all){Achieved in July 2011}

*Canada {Achieved November 2012}

*France

*Russia

*Spain

*Germany

*Austria

*Greece

*Turkey

*Egypt

*Israel

*Jordan

*Iraq

*Iran

*India

*Japan

*China

*Australia

*New Zeland

*Peru

*Brazil

*New Orleans

*Washington D.C. (Disclaimer - I actually achieved this goal in October of 2009, but there was a lot I didn't get to see so I want to go back.)

*Los Angeles

*San Francisco

*Mount Rushmore

*Grand Canyon

*Las Vegas (Okay, I'm totally cheating by putting these on here but they're legit places I wanted to visit even before the opportunity came about!)

*New York City {Achieved September 2012}

*Boston

So, more international travel than national, but that's only because of my love for world history. Everywhere else is so much older than the United States!

2) Attend a Chikara show. (After watching two DVDs of their shows, it looks like too much fun NOT to.){Achieved August 2012}

3) Attend a WWE Royal Rumble

4) Attend a WWE Wrestlemania (I've been to 2 lower-tier PPVs, several Raws and Smackdowns, now I want to attend two of the bigger ones.)

5) Learn how to fence.

6) Have a house that's big enough to have a huge room for a wall to wall library.

7) Learn new languages. Specifically:

*Japanese

*Italian

*French

*Russian

8) Visit the graves of various monarchs and US Presidents. Too many to name specifically.

9) Lay roses on the graves of President Kennedy, Senator Robert Kennedy & Senator Edward Kennedy. (This was on my unwritten list for years and I accomplished this in October of 2009. I believe it was 3 red for Jack, 3 yellow for Teddy and 3 white for Bobby. The colours have meaning. Red - passion. White - purity & loyalty. Yellow - friendship and joy. Still wanted to list it here though.)

10) Work with wild cats (i.e. lions, tigers, cheetahs, leopards, etc.) on a volunteer basis, if not as a career. Or at least get a chance to pet them.

11) Buy a parrot.

12) Go on a cruise.

13) Get a tattoo. (But only when I'm %100 of what I want. Don't want to get something I wind up regretting.)

14) Own a Macbook laptop.

15) Be chopped by a wrestler. Preferably by one (or all!) of the following:{Achieved October 2011 by one of the ladies listed below!}

*Mercedes Martinez

*LuFisto

*Allison Danger

*Daffney

*Kellie Skater

*Daizee Haze

16) Learn how to dance (i.e. tango, foxtrot, etc.). How to slow dance specifically.

17) Get married. (Contingent upon finding the right person. Refuse to settle is my motto, I'd rather be alone than hitch myself to someone who's not right for me.)

18) Get a college degree of some type that's useful. (Or hell, even if it's not.)

19) Try BDSM. (This is *probably* contingent upon marriage first, but at the very least it'd be with someone I trusted absolutely.)

20) Be spanked. Separate from #19 since it's relatively tame.{Achieved March 2011}

21) Write a book. (Not sure what about, if it'd be fiction or non-fiction or what have you. But I'd like to get a book published. Hell if Meyers can get that Twilight crap published, I know I can come up with something better.)

22) Attend an Absolute Intense Wrestling "Girls Night Out" show. {Achieved August 2012}

23) Attend a NCW Femmes Fatales show. {Achieved November 2012}

Twenty one items is a good number to start off with. Most of these aren't able to be accomplished immediately, but that's not what a bucket list is. More will be added if I think of, and those I do manage to accomplish will be marked as such. So lets see what happens!

*Edited on November fifth to add numbers 22 and 23 and mark the ones I have achieved. Looking back over this I realize how blessed I am and also how grateful I am to have gotten into wrestling. If it wasn't for that I wouldn't have wound up going to England or Canada. Great friends and great life!
